BC: What will you do after your racing career? LP: The problem or the good thing for a professional sailor is that he still can be efficient (I hope!) even in his twilight years. But For example, I decided in June 2004 (at the start of the Transat) to not do anymore single-handed trips on a multihull. It was a very difficult decision for me to make. But there are so many ways and manners to sail, and so many things to do. Because since I do this "job" (I should say passionate way of living) I have touched a lot of different working areas, like design, composites, sails, communication, media, marketing, team manager, financial structures, politics ... BR : Because you have to do everything, sailing is the best "High School" I know!.
